Tafra mentioned the possibility of including Lithuania in a Croatian-Czech helicopter pilot training project as well as in cooperation between special forces and in the training of guide dogs.
Pocius thanked Croatia for the cooperation in the training of helicopter pilots which began in 2010, saying four groups of Lithuanian helicopter crews had undergone it and that this was very important for a lowland country such as Lithuania.
He presented the Energy Security Centre, which includes Lithuania and five other countries and is aimed at maintaining combat capabilities when conventional fuels are not available.
Pocius also met the Croatian chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Drago Lovric, for talks on the transformation of the Croatian military, its integration into NATO, participation in international military operations and exercises, and the situation in the region.
Pocius is on a three-day visit to Croatia during which he will meet the Lithuanian troops taking part in the "Jackal Stone 12" international military exercise.
