Josipovic and Richards assessed the cooperation as successful and agreed it could be further improved and upgraded.
Croatia's commitment to NATO as the world's main security framework was underlined during the meeting, as was the fact that Croatia has contributed to NATO-led operations, including the Kosovo Force and ISAF in Afghanistan.
Croatia will follow the Allied policy in Afghanistan by further contributing to the building of the capabilities of the Afghan security forces after 2014 as well, it was said.
Richards underlined Croatia's contribution to peace and stability in Southeast Europe, not only through cooperation and activity within the US-Adriatic Charter, but also through its active role in the strengthening of understanding and trust among the region's countries.
