SARAJEVO, Dec 2 (Hina) - Reaching a cease-fire in Bihac and on
other Bosnian fronts is the chief aim of my talks with Bosnian
Government and Pale Serb officials, UN special envoy Yasushi Akashi
said in Sarajevo today.
Following an one-hour meeting with Bosnian Federation Deputy
President Ejup Ganic, Akashi said he would travel to and fro
between Sarajevo and Pale until a concrete agreement was reached.
He said he did not take any new ideas on cease-fire to the
talks but was trying to rehash cease-fire proposals that were
already on the table.
Akashi went to Pale this afternoon to talk with Radovan
Karadzic, while another meeting with Ganic is scheduled for
tomorrow afternoon.
