SARAJEVO, Oct 14 (Hina) - French UN peace-keepers spotted Bosnian
Serb troops moving a 122mm gun from the Lukavica barracks to the
Krupac village through the Sarajevo demilitarized zone, the UN
said.
The UN patrol failed to stop the truck which was transporting
the gun. And the French could not determine whether the gun was
still inside the demilitarized zone.
UN military observers registered seven mortar impacts at the
line of separation between the Bosnian Moslem-led government army
and Serb forces in Sarajevo's northern suburbs. The shells were
fired from a vehicle moving inside the government-controlled area,
UNPROFOR spokesman Tim Spicer said today.
The situation on Mount Igman was relatively calm. However, UN
officials believed some Bosnian government troops could still be in
the mountainous woody region of Mt Igman.
