ZAGREB, Oct 3 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman today
received Mostar European Union Administrator Hans Koschnik, the
President's Office said today in a statement.
Koschnik informed President Tudjman of the Mostar
situation, describing it as considerably better after Tudjman's
meeting with the President of Bosnia-Herzegovina's Presidency,
Alija Izetbegovic, and the President of the Federation of B-H,
Kresimir Zubak.
During the talks Tudjman and Koschnik supported efforts to
develop Mostar into a European city. They also pointed out the
importance of the Federation of B-H succeeding and the formation of
a confederation with Croatia.
Tudjman and Koschnik discussed the possibilities of European
investment in the reconstruction of Mostar and the city's
cooperation with the Croatian port of Ploce.
Programmes for Mostar's reconstruction, economic revival
and efforts in health and the education system were outlined during
the talks.
Koschnik said he was satisfied with the Mostar's
demilitarization and the cooperation of the three mayors.
Tudjman supported Koschnik's endeavours and expressed
Croatia's readiness to continue assisting with the reconstruction
of Mostar.
