SARAJEVO, Oct 6 (Hina) - Bosnian fronts were unusually quiet in the
last 24 hours.
Fighting was registered only in western Bosnia and in the
Posavina area (northern Bosnia), UN Peace Force (UNPROFOR)
Spokesman Lieutenant Tom Spicer today told journalists in Sarajevo.
The battles occurred in the Grabez area near Bihac where 38
detonations of artillery shells were registered.
UN military observers reported 40 detonations from the
Posavina front lines between the Bosnian Army and Serb forces.
But the situation in the Bosnian capital was stable at the
time. UN military observers registered 355 armed incidents in the
greater Sarajevo area.
And according to an UNPROFOR report there were still seven
Bosnian Army soldiers in the demilitarized zone of Mount
Bjelasnica.
