ZAGREB, Oct 14 (Hina) - Croatian President Dr. Franjo Tudjman today
held a regular press-conference in Zagreb.
President Tudjman said a Contact Group plan for the
reintegration of the temporary occupied areas of Croatia was still
unknown. He added that the integrity of Croatian territory was
beyond dispute and the Serb question had to be solved in line with
the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia.
President Tudjman said he had informed the Contact Group
officials at talks of all suggestions unacceptable to Croatia, and
hoped that many of his remarks and comments should be accepted.
The present circumstances signalled that UN Security Council
resolutions, especially UNSC Resolution 947, should be promptly and
decisively implemented.
Asked when the reintegration of the occupied areas of Croatia
could start President Tudjman answered that the process of
reintegrating was expected to begin soon and some progress must be
made by the end of this year.
The process of reintegrating would be gradual, he said.
Croatia was willing to continue political efforts aimed at
finding a peace solution, and it insisted that there must be some
progress by 20 January which would show the reintegration of UNPAs
already commenced.
