ZAGREB, July 4 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Nikica Valentic
received British Ambassador to Croatia, Gavin Hewett, in an
inaugural visit on Monday.
At the meeting Croatian Prime Minister pointed out that the
priorities of Croatia's policy were the peaceful reintegration of
Croatia's occupied areas in its constitutional and legal system and
a settlement to the conflict in Bosnia-Herzegovina reached through
negotiations.
Prime Minister Valentic added that responsibility for a
peaceful achievement of the two aims lay not only with those who
created policies on these areas but also with the super powers. In
this context Prime Minister Valentic stressed a significant role of
Great Britain.
He also said that Croatia was specially interested in the
improvement of its relations with Great Britain.
British Ambassador Hewett pointed out that Great Britain
strongly supported the territorial integrity of Croatia and
appreciated Croatia's initiatives for peaceful solutions to the
crisis in B-H. He promised to do his best to achieve a further
progress in the good British-Croat relations.
