ZAGREB, July 4 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on
Monday received the incoming British ambassador to Croatia, Gavin
Hewitt, said the foreign ministry.
Minister Granic talked about Croatia's efforts to resolve the
problem of the occupied areas by peaceful means. He said Croatia
welcomed the endeavours of the Contact Group to resolve the crisis
in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Great Britain is going to support Croatia's peace efforts
within the framework of European and other international
institutions, said Ambassador Hewitt. He announced that Great
Britain was going to change the official recommendation to British
subjects regarding travel to Croatia and extend the area considered
safe.
