ZAGREB, June 6 (Hina) - Rumanian Prime Minister Nicolae Vacaroiu,
accompanied by a Rumanian government delegation, on Monday met with
his Croatian counterpart Nikica Valentic and several ministers in
the Croatian government.
The two premiers unanimously agreed that the political
relations between the two countries were good, but that economic
cooperation should be developed.
Premier Valentic eulogised about the possibility of opening a
free trade zone in the Rijeka port.
Premier Vacariou appreciated the great possibilities for
making a joint approach to third markets.
Minister of Culture and Education Vesna Girardi-Jurkic spoke
about the cultural cooperation between the two countries, while
Health Minister Andrija Hebrang expounded on joint health care
projects.
The Romanian delegation, led by Prime Minister Nicolae
Vacaroiu, deposited a wreath at the Altar of the Croatian Homeland
at Medvedgrad.
