SARAJEVO, May 28 (Hina) - The number of UN peace-keepers in Serb
detention has grown considerably since this morning, the UN in
Sarajevo said this evening.
On Sunday evening, Serbs held 325 UN soldiers and observers
prisoner. A large group of peace-keepers was detained today in
Gorazde, eastern Bosnia.
According to a UN spokesman, 33 peace-keepers manning UN
checkpoints within the Gorazde safe haven, were taken prisoners and
taken in an unknown direction.
According to Sarajevo, the Serbs took the prisoners to
Uskitraca near Gorazde. Several stolen UN vehicles were sighted in
the area, the radio said.
The UN in Sarajevo was unable to say how many vehicles were
seized in Gorazde today.
No attacks on UN personnel were registered in Srebrenica or
Zepa (eastern Bosnia), a UN spokesman said.
The situation in Sarajevo was calm but tense.
