US AMBASSADOR GALBRAITH VISITS MONUMENT IN JASENOVAC

JASENOVAC, May 8 (Hina) - US Ambassador to Croatia, Peter Galbraith, accompanied by American Embassy's staff in Zagreb, visited Jasenovac on Monday. In Jasenovac Galbraith toured both the Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches. "The (local) Orthodox church is in excellent condition, while the Catholic church is destroyed. That speaks for itself," Ambassador Galbraith emphasized. Ambassador Galbraith laid down a wreath at the 'Stoned Flower', a monument to the victims of the Jasenovac camp in WW II.
