ZAGREB, May 3 (Hina) - Six shells landed on the Zagreb area hitting
civilian targets, the Croatian Ministry of Defence said in a
statement.
One person was killed, and about 40 wounded, among them 20
foreign citizens, mostly Russians and Ukrainians.
They have been admitted to Zagreb hospitals for medical
treatment.
A shell hit a pediatric clinic in central Zagreb, damaging a
surgery room and a few waiting rooms and shattering windows.
Clinic doctor Ivan Fattorini said that none of the children
were hurt.
Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic and ambassadors of the
United States, Russia, France and Hungary visited the clinic
shortly after the attack.
Zagreb medical authorities said that 43 wounded people had
been amditted to hospitals.
