OSIJEK, April 7 (Hina) - Independent Member of the Croatian
Parliament, Ivica Vrkic, today put forward a new suggestion for the
peaceful reintegration of Croatia's occupied areas.
In an open letter to Foreign Minister Mate Granic, Vrkic
proposed that "a group of displaced Croats and a group of Serbs
currently settled in Baranja simultaneously return to their former
villages," - the Croats to Baranja and the Serbs to western
Slavonia.
"This would be a real confidence restoring move by the
Croatian government," Vrkic emphasised.
Only persons "wanted for war crimes by Croatian courts",
should be excluded from the process, he specified.
