SARAJEVO, Apr 6 (Hina) - Bosnian Government forces have probably
encircled the Stolice TV transmitter on Mt Majevica in north-
eastern Bosnia, cutting the last road used by Serbs for shipping
supplies to troops stationed on the mountain, the UN in Sarajevo
said today.
UN observers have counted about 1,500 detonations in the
Majevica area in the past 24 hours, spokesman Herve Gourmelon told
reporters.
Five hundred detonations were registered yesterday and last
night at the Doboj front in northern Bosnia. But observers could
not say what exactly was going on in that part of Bosnia.
Tuzla was put on general alert this morning when Serb forces
launched an artillery attack on this predominantly Moslem town in
north-eastern Bosnia, Sarajevo radio said this morning.
According to the same source, Serb and renegade Moslem forces
loyal to Freaket Abdic continued attacking Bosnian army 5th corps
positions near Velika Kladusa in western Bosnia, but UNPROFOR could
not confirm these reports.
UN observers did, however, count 103 detonations in the
vicinity of a Bangladeshi base near Velika Kladusa. Infantry
clashes were not registered.
An UNPROFOR military observers and two Bosnian army liaison
officers were wounded yesterday when three shells exploded near
their vehicle in the Buzim area. The Dutch observer was slightly
wounded, but the two Bosnian officers sustained serious injuries.
