ZAGREB, April 4 (Hina) - The Croatian President's Chief of Staff,
Hrvoje Sarinic, today received in the Presidential Palace in
Zagreb the Co-Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Geneva
Conference, Thorvald Stoltenberg, a Presidential Office statement
said.
Also present were Presidential Foreign Policy Adviser Zeljko
Matic, Ambassador to the Geneva Conference Kai Eide and Sarinic's
aide, Vesna Skare Ozbolt.
They discussed modalities of implementing UN Security
Council resolution 981 as part of regular consultations
preceeding a report Stoltenberg was to submit to UN Secreatary
General Boutros Boutros-Ghali.
Stoltenberg informed Sarinic of his talks in Belgrade with
Serbian President Slbodan Milosevic and Croatian Serb negotiator
Borislav Mikelic.
Today's talks also focused on the continuation of the peace
process and analyzed the subjects which Stoltenberg would include
in his report to the UN Secretary General, before passing
decisions on the implementation of resolution 981, the statement
concluded.
