ZAGREB, April 3 (Hina) - Bosnia-Herzegovina and China established
diplomatic relations today. China was the 92th country to
recognize Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The ambassadors of both countries to Croatia, Kasim Trnka
and Xie Xiqin respectively, signed today in Zagreb a joint
communique on establishing diplomatic relations.
Ambassador Xiqin emphasized that China supported the
sovereignty and territorial integrity of all newly emerged states
in the former Yugoslavia, and that his country supported "a
peaceful and negotiated settlement of the crisis".
Ambassador Trnka said that by recognizing the sovereignty
and international borders of Bosnia-Herzegovina China made an
enormous contribution to the peace process in Bosnia and the
Balkans.
