ZAGREB, March 26 (Hina) - The leader of the Social Democratic Party
of Croatia (SDP), Ivica Racan, received the European Union
Administrator of Mostar, Hans Koschnik, at his request today in
Zagreb.
Racan and Koschnik exchanged standpoints on the current
situation in Mostar, the establishment of the Federation of Bosnia-
Herzegovina, international approaches toward settlements to the
crisis in the region and the latest developments in Croatia
following the Copenhagen deal between Croatian President Franjo
Tudjman and US Vice President Al Gore, a statement from the SDP
party said.
Koschnik expressed hope that no new war would re-erupt in the
region, adding that he expected from Croatian policies a
considerable contribution to the peace process.
Commenting on the Copenhagen deal the SDP leader reiterated
that his party favoured the peaceful reintegration of the occupied
Croatian areas.
