ZAGREB, March 23 (Hina) - The UN High Commission for Refugees
today was granted permission by rebel Serb authorities in
occupied Croatian areas to send a humanitarian aid convoy to the
Bihac pocket in nortwestern Bosnia.
The ten-truck convoy would start on Friday and would travel
via Licko Petrovo Selo to avoid the possibility of being stopped
by renegade Moslem forces, the UNHCR spokeswoman in Zagreb,
Alemka Lisinski, said.
However, the UNHCR was not planning to resume sending
humanitarian supplies to the UN protected areas of Croatia as it
had been demanded by local Serb authorities, Lisinski stressed.
The Bihac enclave has not seen a UNHCR convoy since last
Friday.
