SARAJEVO, Feb 12 (Hina) - "The US administration is taking a
positive view of the proposed tripartite meeting between Presidents
Tudjman, Izetbegovic and Milosevic," the US Ambassador to Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Victor Jakovich, told today's issue of the Sarajevo-
based daily "Oslobodjenje".
He warned that the meeting should be carefully prepared,
because Washington wasn't interested in yet another round of
consultations.
"There have been a great many conferences and talks on Bosnia-
Herzegovina which did not bring any results - this shouldn't occur
again with this meeting," Jakovich said.
The UN administration was concerned about the situation in
Bosnia-Herzegovina and the peace process being at a standstill, he
said.
Commenting on certain hints that the UN peace-keepers were
about to leave Bosnia, Jakovic said that the US administration
wished to see a strong UNPROFOR with even wider authorities.
Their presence was justified as long as there were people who
needed their help, he said.
