According to the 'ISV Radio' editorial staff, a group of some
ten young men stopped director Elvir Bucalo and editor-in-chief
Armin Pozderac in broad daylight in the street and took them from
the main road behind a nearby medical centre building.
In the presence of the medical centre employees, who, after
having heard shouts, tried to intervene, the attackers started to
beat their victims, inflicting severe wounds on them.
The person who headed the attackers was later recognized as a
former commander of the Bosnian army 102nd brigade.
'ISV Radio' further said that this was the second physical
assault against their employees in the last four months.
The radio related the attack to their recent actions and
public opinion polls whose aim was the termination of the curfew,
respect for basic human rights and the promotion of an initiative
aimed at clarifying why the manifestation 'Djed Mraz' (Santa Claus)
had been cancelled this year in children's institutions.
The 'ISV radio' editorial staff said they were embittered and
deeply saddened by the fact that the 'opportunity for a civilized
life in Sarajevo is irrevocably passing away'.
International police forces, who were informed about
yesterday's incident, started an investigation.
