ZAGREB, 14 Nov (Hina) - The Croatian Defence Ministry on Thursday
organised a lecture on education and reorganisation of the Croatian
armed force and implementation of the Agreement on Subregional Arms
Control for members of the military and diplomatic corps accredited
in Croatia. #L#
The military and diplomatic corps was first addressed by the
Croatian army Chief-Of-Staff, Lieutenant General Pavao Miljavac.
The Croatian army was opened for cooperation with military and
diplomatic representatives during the war as well, Miljavac said,
adding that foreign representatives were able to visit the first
front lines whenever it was possible.
Victories on the battlefield were the best proof of the
quality of Croatian military academies. Since 1992, some 8,500
officers and non-commissioned officers completed their education
successfully at those academies, Miljavac said.
Croatian inspection teams have completed six missions - three
in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, two in the Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina and one in Republika Srpska. So far, there have
been no problems during the implementation of the Agreement on
Subregional Arms Control. The Croatian side is yet to carry out
another 10 inspections and the Croatian army will receive seven
foreign military teams, who are to inspect how the Agreement is
being implemented.
