SARAJEVO, Oct 25 (Hina) - Bosnian Presidency members Kresimir Zubak
and Alija Izetbegovic on Friday signed a draft agreement on the
administrative setup of the Sarajevo canton.
The draft had been discussed in the past two days within the
Federation Forum, with Michael Steiner, a deputy to the
international community's High Representative to Bosnia-
Herzegovina, acting as a mediator.
Under the draft agreement, the Sarajevo canton will be made up
of four municipalities and a district in which the most important
government institutions will be located.
After the signing ceremony in the Presidency building, Steiner
said that the draft would be sent for consideration to other
political parties participating in the work of the Sarajevo
cantonal assembly.
The draft agreement would guarantee all rights to members of
the constituent nations, Steiner said.
Zubak and Izetbegovic also signed an agreement on the final
proposal for the Federation's flag and coat of arms, which would be
sent to the Federation Parliament for adoption.
Also signed were two agreements regulating the establishment
of other Federation institutions, including a unified Interior
Ministry.
