HEADS OF HERZEGOVINA-NERETVA CANTON ELECTED

MOSTAR, Oct 22 (Hina) - The Herzegovina-Neretva Canton's Assembly on Tuesday elected Fatima Leho (Moslem) as the canton head and Pero Markovic (Croat) as her deputy. At the closed-door session Ivan Bender and Omer Cevra were elected as the chairman and vice-chairman respectively of the canton's assembly. Assembly's members also appointed five Croats and five Moslems to the Bosnian Federation's House of Nations. The following session of the Assembly is due to be next week when deputies should discuss the promulgation of the canton's constitution. (hina) mš 221614 MET oct 96
