Bulatovic told foreign reporters at Friday's news conference
in Kotor that Montenegro and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
view the issue as "a dispute regarding territory, while Croatia
views it as a dispute regarding security, but it is beyond dispute
that the dispute is not being disputed by anyone".
Bulatovic expressed satisfaction about the fact that "the
Croatian side also accepted the fact that the security regime
should stay in power until the disputable issue is resolved".
He said that "in the history of relations between Croatia and
Montenegro, there were much longer periods of cooperation than cold
and intolerant relations," adding that "in the time when certain
citizens of Montenegro were on Croatian territory as members of the
former Yugoslav army, contacts with the Croatian Parliament and
state leaders existed".
"We are very interested in continuing the contacts, taking
into consideration the fact that we live next to one another and
that we must find solutions which would enable normal life,"
Bulatovic said.
