CRO PRESIDENT RECEIVES DELEGATION OF POLITICAL PRISONERS ASSOCIATI

ASSOCIATI $ ON ZAGREB, Oct 11 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Friday received a delegation of the Croatian Political Prisoners Society (HDPZ), the President's Office said in a statement. HDPZ president Katica Perekovic thanked the President for everything he had done in the creation of the independent Croatian state and acquainted him with the problems of former political prisoners. The Croatian state was created by the whole Croatian people through its victims, despite opposition from the world, said the President. In the past six years we have done what had not been done throughout the centuries, the President said, adding that, in spite of difficulties, reconstruction problems were being solved. Present at today's meeting were also the head of the President's Office Ivo Sanader and the President's advisors for interior affairs Ivic Pasalic and public services Zlatko Canjuga. The HPDZ delegation also included its co-presidents Jure Knezovic and Andrija Vucemil, presidents of local chapters Slavko Radicevic, Davorin Pamic, Zdenko Kolcic, reverend Josip Devcic and Council member Vencel Lasic, the statement concluded.
