SARAJEVO, Aug 28 (Hina) - The leading Bosnian Moslem Party of
Democratic Action (SDA) on Wednesday called on Bosnian
refugees abroad not to vote until all voter registration
irregularities were resolved.
The decision had been made at the proposal of SDA
president Alija Izetbegovic, the president of the SDA general
board, Halid Genjac, told a news conference in Sarajevo.
The SDA urged Bosnian voters not to fill in their
absentee ballots for the time being, Genjac said, adding that
the SDA would have consulations with other political parties
on the issue.
The Party for Bosnia-Herzegovina of former Prime
Minister Haris Silajdzic issued a similar call to voters in
foreign countries.
The Bosnian Patriot Party, led by former Bosnian Army
commander Sefer Halilovic, called for a boycott of the
elections.
