ILOK, Dec 28 (Hina) - Red Cross representatives from the German town
of Emmendingen on Sunday delivered a humanitarian aid donation
worth US$ 11,000 to the Red Cross in Ilok, eastern Croatia.
The representatives from Emmendingen have already made some 30 such
donations to the town of Vinkovci, eastern Croatia. They decided to
help the Red Cross in Ilok after learning about humanitarian issues
of Ilok residents during their last visit to Croatia.
Today's donation included food, clothes and furniture, and was
accepted by the president of the Ilok Red Cross, Tomo Grgic. Ilok
Mayor Stipan Kraljevic and the president of the Red Cross of
Vukovar-Srijem County Drazen Svagelj were also present.
The German donors announced further aid to Vinkovci and Ilok.
