VUKOVAR, Dec 23 (Hina) - Assistant Interior Minister Josko Moric
said Tuesday police had discovered evidence which point to the fact
that the unidentified person who threw a grenade on a police patrol
in Vukovar on Sunday night could be connected to the recent
launching of rockets on the Vukovar's leadership and post office
buildings.
Moric told the Croatian radio that the police had on Monday night
discovered seven rockets for shoulder-mounted rocket launchers.
These were weapons that were directly connected with the person the
police were looking for, Moric said, adding that seven persons had
been arrested for the crime.
Asked about the future actions of the police to prevent similar
incidents, Moric said the "police is looking for and taking away
illegal weapons and illegally owned explosive devices," and these
measures, he added, would continue.
