VUKOVAR, Dec 22 (Hina) - Seven persons have been arrested while one
is being sought after, Croatian Deputy Interior Minister Josko
Moric told reporters in Vukovar Monday in relation to last night's
hand grenade explosions in Vukovar.
Moric said police were as yet unsure whether the attacker who at
21.25 hours threw a bomb at a police patrol got wounded. Traces of
blood have been found and indicate he was probably wounded while
being chased by police, he said.
"The person who we suspect attacked the police patrol has been
identified and he is being intensively sought after", Moric said,
adding this person, according to reliable sources, had not spent
the night at home.
"We suppose in the next few days we shall be able to inform the
public that we have shed light on both attacks and that we know who
the perpetrators are," the deputy interior minister concluded.
