SARAJEVO, Dec 4 (Hina) - The OSCE mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina
says the Sarajevo-based Bosnian Television breached severely rules
of the professional conduct of the media, in its report on a recent
incident which occurred at the interentity boundary when a Moslem
(Bosniak) was killed.
An OSCE spokesman in Sarajevo, Johan Verhayden, said on Thursday
that the OSCE media commission would discuss the Sarajevo
television station's act at its following session to judge how
serious the breach of rules had been.
The mission of the OSCE (Organisation for Security and Cooperation
in Europe) held that by reporting on the killing of Ermin Rapo, 28,
that happened three days ago in the surroundings of Sarajevo,
Bosnian Television claimed groundlessly that the separation line
along this interentity boundary was dangerous only for those from
the Federation while Serbs moved in the area with no problem.
It said that a Bosnian television reporter had no basis to draw
conclusions about the circumstances under which the killing had
happened, while an investigation was still under way.
