STRASBOURG, Nov 4 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic
will travel to Strasbourg on Wednesday to take part in a meeting of
the Council of Europe ministerial committee on Thursday.
The meeting will revolve round conclusions of the second summit of
Council of Europe member-countries held in October.
During his visit to Strasbourg Granic will hand over to the Council
of Europe secretary-general, Daniel Tarschys, ratification
instruments which confirm that the Croatian parliament has
ratified the European convention on human rights and the charter on
regional and minority languages.
Having ratified these documents, Croatia has fulfilled its
obligations toward the Council of Europe, which it should met until
November 6 this year.
Also on Wednesday, the committee in charge of monitoring the
fulfillment of the obligations of the Council of Europe member-
states will hold a meeting in Strasbourg. The committee will
consider a report on the 9-13 October visit of the committee's head
Guido de Marco and other two members, Hanna Suchocka and Gunnar
Janson, to Croatia.
