ZAGREB, 23 Oct (Hina) - Croatia is preparing an agreement on special
relations with the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, and it will
give it proposals concerning the solution of the issue of Ploce port
and passage through Neum, Croatia's Foreign Minister Mate Granic
said following Thursday's Government session.
Croatian proposals will be in the spirit of the Washington and
Dayton agreements, Granic added.
The preparation of the agreement on special relations with the
Federation was announced in the Split Declaration signed between
the Croatian President Franjo Tudjman and Bosnia's President Alija
Izetbegovic, Granic recalled.
'We did not accept the suggestions (on Ploce port) of the American
side, which is otherwise welcome and which is an advisory body
within the commission which works on solving the question of Ploce
and Neum,' Granic said.
'It is important that Croatia is not going to harm its sovereignty
by anything,' Granic concluded.
