ZAGREB, June 12 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic, on
Thursday delivered diplomas to 31 participants of the second generation
in the one-year course at Diplomatic Academy of the Croatian Foreign
Ministry.
At a ceremony, Granic said that it was a step forward on the path
toward enabling Croatian diplomats to accomplish high professionalism.
The Academy was founded on June 9, 1995, with the goal to educate
staff for needs of the Croatian diplomacy and state bodies connected
with foreign affairs.
The Academy has established ties and co-operation with many similar
institutions in the world, and many prominent Croatian and foreign
statesmen, politicians and experts have given lectures during its
courses.
On Thursday, Granic ceremonially opened a web page of the Foreign
Ministry at the Internet where the Ministry is offering relevant
information about its work only in the Croatian language for the time
being, and it will give reports in English in two weeks.
The Diplomatic Academy also prints its papers and studies at least
once a year. On Thursday, a Deputy Foreign Minister, Ivo Sanader,
promoted the second collection of papers and studies which include works
or lectures of their lectures, and good works of the Academy's
participants.
