ZAGREB, Feb 27 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament's House of Representatives
on Thursday closed a discussion on a programme of the national development
of Croatian Adriatic islands.
After summing up the main points of the discussion, Deputy Prime
Minister Jure Radic moved for the adoption of the programme. If accepted,
the Government would send a bill on islands to Parliament within one month.
The House concluded a brief discussion on draft amendments to the law
on the areas of special interest to the state.
Deputies also discussed a bill ratifying an agreement on the programme
of investment in local infrastructure and environmental protection between
Croatia and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The agreement includes a loan of DM 105 million for the reconstruction
of the existing water supply system and construction of new water supply
infrastructure in Kastela, Split, Trogir and Pula.
