ZAGREB, Jan 23 (Hina) - Croatian Government officials, on Thursday
held talks with representatives of the Association of Croatian
Displaced Persons on completion of peaceful reintegration of the
Croatian Danubian area, the Croatian Government's public relations
office reported.
The Government officials informed displaced people of a letter
of the UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan, in which he suggested to
the UN Security Council to accept the Croatian Government's letter
described by Annan as positive.
A Croatian Deputy Prime Minister, Ivica Kostovic, notified the
displaced people of yesterday's talks with UNTAES officials and
elections due to be on March 16.
The Displaced Persons' Association's leader, Mato Simic,
called Croatian officials to attend an extraordinary session of the
assembly of the Association, scheduled for the beginning of
February in Osijek.
