ZAGREB, Jan 9 (Hina) - The Croatian government coordination
committee for reintegration of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and
Western Srijem on Thursday adopted a draft document proposing the
pace of the peaceful reintegration process.
The government would discuss the draft at one of its next
sessions, Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Kostovic told reporters
after the meeting.
Kostovic said in a brief statement that all ministries had
been given special tasks with regard to the forthcoming local
elections in the UN-administered areas.
The coordination committee defined proposals the government
was to present to the UN Transitional Administration and the
local population in the Danube river region in order to speed up
and successfully complete the peaceful reintegration process,
ensuring the termination of the UN mandate on July 15, Kostovic
said.
