MOSTAR, Feb 12 (Hina) - Martin Garrod, the head of the Mostar
Regional Office of the top international peace administrator in
Bosnia-Herzegovina, terminated his holidays and returned to Mostar
last night due to the latest crisis in this southern Bosnian-
Herzegovinian town, Garrod's office said on Wednesday.
Garrod spent only one day of holidays in England.
On Wednesday he is due to travel to Sarajevo for talks on the
situation in Mostar, with Michael Steiner, a deputy to the peace
administrator Carl Bildt, the Croat-Moslem Federation's President
and a member of Bosnia-Herzegovina three-man Presidency, Kresimir
Zubak, and the Bosnian Presidency's chairman, Alija Izetbegovic.
Security measures has been stepped up today around the Hotel
Ero where Garrod's office is situated. Several SFOR armoured
vehicles have been deployed at nearby crossroads, while SFOR troops
in bullet proof jackets and full battle kits have been patrolling
around the hotel.
