The presentation, organised within the event 'Days of Croatia in
Bavaria', was attended by Foreign Minister Mate Granic, the president of
'Hrvatski drzavni zavjet', Ivic Pasalic, and the editor of the book,
Andjelko Mijatovic.
Speaking about the book's author as statesman, Minister Granic said
that Dr Franjo Tudjman had a vision of the establishment of the independent
Croatia, made fateful decisions, knew how to chose his associates and had
the support of his people. Granic highlighted the most important moves made
by the Croatian President since the establishment of the Croatian state.
The book itself, published by 'Skolska knjiga', was described by its
editor Andjelko Mijatovic. The book is a collection of chosen texts written
by Dr Franjo Tudjman since 1968. It also includes summarised forms of two
earlier published books, written by Dr Tudjman - 'Great Ideas and Small
Peoples' and 'Horrors of War'.
The German edition of 'Historical Fate of Peoples' is expected in
about two months and will be presented in Bonn.
