ZAGREB, Jan 13 (Hina) - The overall revenue of large firms and public companies in Croatia amounted to 70.32 billion kuna in the first ten months of last year, according to information by the Payments Operations Office, which is 6
percent more than in the same period in 1995. At the same time, overall expenditure increased for 4.5 percent, reaching 71.3 billion kuna.
ZAGREB, Jan 13 (Hina) - The overall revenue of large firms and
public companies in Croatia amounted to 70.32 billion kuna in
the first ten months of last year, according to information by
the Payments Operations Office, which is 6 percent more than
in the same period in 1995.
At the same time, overall expenditure increased for 4.5
percent, reaching 71.3 billion kuna. #L#
Earnings before taxation in 495 large Croatian companies,
including 8 public companies, in the first ten months of last
year, amounted to 2.38 billion kuna, or 57.3 percent more than
in the same period in 1995. The companies registered net loss
before taxation of 3.37 billion kuna, being decreased by 1.9
percent.
The gross earnings for the same period amounted to 2.14
billion kuna and increased for 62.2 percent in relation to the
first nine months in 1994, and a loss of 3.37 billion kuna was
recorded, or 2.2 percent less.
Out of the total number of observed companies, 51.1
percent were in the field of industry.
