According to the International Police Task Force (IPTF),
the 168 Bosniacs did not even cross the inter-entity
borderline because their passage was prevented by a large
group of Serbs.
According to U.N. sources, some 100 to 200 persons
gathered at the inter-entity borderline on both sides of an
SFOR check point, U.N. spokesman in Sarajevo Alexander Ivanko
told the Croatian news agency Hina. Ivanko confirmed that the
Stabilization Force and IPTF had intensified their presence in
the area of Gajevi and that they were closely watching the
situation.
Representatives in the SFOR headquarters in Sarajevo
confirmed that U.S. and Russian soldiers were supervising the
situation in Gajevi, adding that there had been no open
conflicts between the Bosniacs and Serbs.
