ZAGREB, 22 Jan (Hina) - The Parliament House of Counties on Wednesday refused to send back the Law on the Areas of Counties, Towns and Municipalities in the Republic of Croatia to the House of Representatives for another vote, which
was proposed by Opposition representatives in the upper house. Having adopted bills on the postponement of a discussion on five bills proposed by the House of Representatives, the House of Counties ended its session this afternoon.
ZAGREB, 22 Jan (Hina) - The Parliament House of Counties on
Wednesday refused to send back the Law on the Areas of
Counties, Towns and Municipalities in the Republic of Croatia
to the House of Representatives for another vote, which was
proposed by Opposition representatives in the upper house.
Having adopted bills on the postponement of a discussion
on five bills proposed by the House of Representatives, the
House of Counties ended its session this afternoon. #L#
The House of Counties adopted bills on the confirmation
of three contracts between the Holy See and Republic of
Croatia with a majority vote. The contracts concern the
spiritual guidance of Catholic believers, members of the
Croatian army and police forces, cooperation in the areas of
culture and education, and legal issues.
The upper house also supported changes and amendments to
the Law on Health Insurance Tax Rates with a majority vote.
According to the amendments, the health insurance tax rate for
pensioners would be decreased from 25% to 18%.
