by Vice Premier and Science and Technology Minister Ivica Kostovic and his deputy Ivica Mandic.
ZAGREB, 3 Jan (Hina) - Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa on Friday
received a delegation of the newly-elected presidency of the
Croatian Students' Assembly (HSZ), headed by its president Branimir
Majcica.
The meeting was also attended by Vice Premier and Science and
Technology Minister Ivica Kostovic and his deputy Ivica Mandic. #L#
The Students' Assembly is a legal entity and its task is to
secure the representation of students on all bodies of academic
community, Kostovic said.
One of the tasks of the Students' Assembly is also to take
care of the students' living standard as well as to present
Croatian students in international bodies.
The main problem the Croatian Students' Assembly has to cope
with currently is the procurement of financial means for various
students' programs, HSZ president Majcica said.
Premier Matesa proposed that HSZ representatives present most
interesting programs at their next meeting.
Science and Technology Minister Ivica Kostovic announced new
programs and investments, especially in Osijek University, as well
as the granting of a larger number of scholarships for best
students.
