ZAGREB, Oct 5 (Hina) - An international modern photography
exhibition will be opened at the Zagreb Fair on October 6.
This 27th Zagreb Salon is the first to take place after the Homeland
War, and will last until October 20.
A total of 162 photographs will be exhibited in Zagreb, and the same
number at exhibitions in Bjelovar, Sibenik, and Kukljica on the
island of Ugljan.
Exhibiting 1,131 black-and-white and 1,168 colour photographs will
be 486 authors from 36 countries.
The most works chosen for the exhibition were from Italy, Austria,
Germany and Croatia.
The organiser of the Salon, Fotoklub Zagreb, told reporters on
Monday about the jury's choices for the best works.
In the white-and-black category, Austria's Maria Bidrmann received
first price for her photography, while Italy's Gabrielle Rigon
received first price for her collection of black-and white
photographs.
The first price in the category of photographs in colour was
collected by Germany's Rudolf Pustelnik for his work "Speed".
Manfeld Krieglstein from Germany won first price for his collection
of photographs.
