ZAGREB, Sept 15 (Hina) - A team of British army inspectors, headed
by Lieutenant-Colonel Bruce Steven Leonard, arrived in Croatia for
a two-day visit on Monday.
The British inspectors will visit the command and units of the
Croatian Armed Forces' first and fourth military districts, in
accordance with the Vienna Agreement of 1994.
The four-member team will be accompanied by a group from the
Croatian Armed Forces' Verification Centre.
The Vienna Agreement from 1994 authorises its signatories for
control and assessment of military activities in other states, as
well as their units and weapons.
The document, which sets measures for the establishment of trust
and safety in Europe, was signed by all European countries, the
United States and Canada.
This is the third visit of foreign inspectors to the Croatian Armed
Forces in 1998.
The first two inspections were carried out by Canadian and German
officers.
