MOSTAR, Aug 2 (Hina) - International mediator for the Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Christian Schwartz Schilling, has told local
Bosnian Croat officials to stick by promises not to obstruct
implementation of the Dayton accords.
He made the warning on Sunday following a visit to Bosniak (Muslim)
returnees in the southern town of Stolac and a meeting with Bosniak
representatives from the Herzegovina-Neretva County and Stolac,
which is under majority Croat control.
Schilling said representatives of Stolac Croats did not turn up to
the meeting, even though Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia-
Herzegovina (HDZ BiH) president Ante Jelavic yesterday had told him
there would not be obstructions made by local party officials.
Obstructions have arrived despite the promise, the international
mediator for Bosnia's Croat-Muslim entity said.
He said that if certain HDZ BiH leaders did not change their stance
towards the international community and implementation of the
Dayton accords, he would announce how that party was working
against the interests of the Croat people of BH.
