NOVI TRAVNIK, July 20 (Hina) - The three-way return is the only way
to make all displaced persons from Bugojno, Rama and Novi Travnik
return to their homes, the President of the Croat-Muslim Federation
of Bosnia-Herzegovina Ejup Ganic said on Monday.
Ganic was speaking to Croat displaced persons in Rostovo near Novi
Travnik, Central Bosnia.
The federal president visited Rostovo with Central Bosna Canton
prefect Adnan Terzic and deputy prefect Ivan Saric.
About 3,000 Croats were exiled from Rostovo in 1993.
Today Ganic encouraged them to return to their homes, saying they
would thus make space for Muslims to return to Rama, which would
then open the possibility of a larger Croat return to Bugojno, where
Croat houses are occupied by Muslims from Rama.
The displaced said they could not return because their houses were
completely demolished as was the water and power supply
infrastructure.
They requested Ganic and other federal and cantonal officials to
influence the international community which says that the
reconstruction of houses would begin only once the displaced return
to them.
