MOSTAR, July 1 (Hina)- UNHCR Spokeswoman for BH Ariane Quentier has
welcomed the return of a group of Serb refugees to the homes in the
Mostar suburb of Ortijes they had left before the war in BH.
Speaking at a press briefing in Mostar on Wednesday Ariane Quentier
said that out of 66 Serbs that returned to Ortijes on Saturday, 50
spent the night at their devastated houses. There have been no
incidents so far.
After saying that the reconstruction in that suburb of Mostar would
be assisted by a German NGO, Quntier warned that the return was a
two-way process. She called on refugees and displaced persons in
the Mostar region they could return to the places in the BH
Federation and Republika srpska where they had lived before the
war.
