BRCKO, July 18 (Hina) - The international supervisor for Brcko,
Robert William Farrand, has welcomed arbitration talks recently
held by the commission representatives of Bosnia-Herzegovina's two
entities, the Serb republic and the Muslim-Croat Federation,
judging them as "very meaningful".
Farrand told reporters that Bosnian Serb Prime Minister Milorad
Dodik and Bosnian Federation President Ejup Ganic had explicitly
expressed the desire for a more efficient activity in the area of
health care, restoration of houses, stimulating the economy and the
return of the refugees.
The Brcko supervisor emphasised that his office would continue an
active involvement in organising such meetings.
Among other things, Farrand told journalists about the latest Order
for the Brcko area by which he had forbidden the dismissing of the
political officials who leave their current political parties or
join another party.
