SARAJEVO, July 15 (Hina) - High Representative in Bosnia-
Herzegovina Carlos Westendorp on Wednesday received a Croat
delegation from the Croat-Muslim Federation, at their request.
The delegation included Federation Vice President Vladimir Soljic
and Deputy Prime Minister Drago Bilandzija.
The two sides discussed the return of 350,000 Bosnian Croat
refugees to their homes.
It was agreed that the current dynamics of return was not
satisfactory and that concrete steps had to be taken to step it up.
Special attention was paid to the distribution of aid for the
reconstruction of damaged and destroyed Croat homes.
The Croat officials expressed dissatisfaction with the percentage
of allocated aid and the method of setting priorities in the
reconstruction process.
It was concluded that the slow pace of reconstruction was the major
obstacle to the return and that the allocation of aid to date had to
be re-examined and irregularities corrected.
